Job Summary:

This position serves as the primary Administrative Assistant at Mount Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church performing clerical duties utilizing various office computer systems. This is a part time, 25 hours weekly, non-exempt position. The individual reports to the pastor; however, he/she often must perform routine office duties without direct supervision.  This position could lead to full time employment.

• Experience in secretarial and administrative tasks
• Knowledge of Missionary Baptist principles and procedures (not required but preferred)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A practicing Christian committed to biblical values
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft office—Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, Google Calendar and Google Docs
• Experience and/or knowledge in managing web pages and social media platforms
• Excellent office management experience

Ability and skills

• Plan, prioritize, and organize the work load
• Maintain church records, (computerized and manual)
• Order church supplies and ensure they are readily available as needed
• Confidentiality is needed to exercise discretion of sensitive information
• Ability to work with church members, the public, vendors, guests and visitors
• Technology and computer skills

Required

• A practicing Christian
• Pass a criminal background check
• A valid driver’s license
• Ability to lift 25 pounds
• S. Citizenship

Education:

• A high school diploma or equivalent, required
• Associate degree, preferred

Starting Salary $16,000 annually

The Hoke County Civic League Annual Christmas Cheer Services is Thursday, December 12, 2019 at 7 p.m. in Full Gospel Church.  Everyone is invited to the worship services.

Because of various conflicts, the Christian Education/Teachers Meeting is cancelled for December 14.  We are still on schedule to clean.

Ladies Day Out 2019! The ladies will venture to Concord Mills Outlet Mall on Saturday, December 14th. We will depart from the church at 7 a.m. Anyone interested contact Sister Alison White. Join us for a day of fun and shopping!

Pastor McCrimmon will have the Doctorate in Education conferred upon him December 14th, 10:00 a.m. at Gardner-Webb University, Boiling Springs, NC.  There is a sign-up sheet to ride the church van in the lobby.
